I’m a passionate kayak angler, tournament competitor, and dedicated bass fishing enthusiast who thrives on pursuing adventures from my Hobie kayak. I proudly serve as the creator and host of the Serious Angler Podcast Network, where our entire lineup of shows is devoted to the art and science of bass fishing. Additionally, I capture every tournament and fishing escapade for my YouTube channel, aptly named “BE the Fish.”

Residing in New York, I have the privilege of enjoying incredible bass fishing opportunities. Most of my time is spent exploring the pristine waters of the Finger Lakes, although I hold a special affection for venturing out on the Great Lakes to seek out trophy smallmouth bass.

I’m a proud Texan, a United States Navy veteran, and an enthusiastic kayak angler. My connection to the Texas Coast runs deep, as I’ve spent my entire life exploring its waters. However, my kayak fishing journey officially kicked off in 2008. Since then, I’ve been navigating the Texas marshes in pursuit of Redfish, Trout, and Flounder. Although I appreciate the diversity of species, my primary focus has always been on chasing after the elusive Redfish.

Over the years, I’ve actively participated in numerous Redfish tournaments, and I’m proud to say that I’ve secured the top spot in several of them. My dedication to this sport has led to some remarkable victories.

In addition to my passion for fishing, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Filmmaking. I take immense pleasure in documenting all my waterborne adventures through high-quality photography and videography. It’s a way for me to relive those moments and share the beauty of the Texas Coast with others.

Benton Parrott is a North Carolina native who currently resides in South Alabama. His time on the water is spent fishing the Gulf from the panhandle of Florida to the coast of Louisiana. He has been competing in kayak fishing tournaments as a Hobie team member since 2010. He has won 4 National titles and 2 National AOY awards with the IFA. He has competed as a Team USA member 5 times at Hobie Fishing Worlds.

Hailing from Pensacola, Florida, my heart beats for the thrill of landing substantial catches from a small boat. I’m fortunate to call the Gulf Coast of Florida my home, a region where you can pursue a wide array of formidable fish species right from a kayak. The opportunities are endless, from the exhilarating chase of monstrous tarpon along the beach to the hunt for big bull redfish in the shallow waters, all contributing to the extraordinary fishing experiences that Pensacola has to offer.

As the owner and operator of Emerald Waters Kayak Charters, my guide service specializes in targeting impressive catches such as red snapper, king mackerel, mahi, and even Sailfish, all within a mile off our pristine white sand beaches and the crystal-clear emerald- green waters. On the flip side, we also venture after inshore species like redfish, trout, and others in the serene shallows of grass flats.

Beyond the thrill of the catch, I have an immense passion for sharing my addiction to kayak fishing through the lens of photography and videography. My go-to vessel is the Hobie Pro Angler 360, renowned for its versatility.

My deep-seated passion for kayak fishing was ignited back in 2008 when I first paddled a Hobie Quest. Ever since that moment, I’ve dedicated myself to making kayak fishing my profession and my greatest passion. In the present, I operate Pushin’ Water Kayak Charters in the vibrant waters of South Florida, where I offer fellow anglers the chance to immerse themselves in the Hobie kayak fishing experience.

Fueling my competitive spirit, I actively engage in various kayak fishing tournaments throughout the year, constantly seeking new challenges and opportunities to excel in this thrilling sport.

I have a true passion for kayak fishing, something I have been doing for almost 15 years. Kayak fishing is something that anyone can do from a young child to an older adult, whether its streams, ponds or large lakes there is a kayak to fit every scenario. I love helping people determine what is the best fit for them and their fishing style. At the end of the day I want you to get on the water more and enjoy your time on the water to utmost!

I also love to fish competitively and travel the globe to fish anywhere for any species. So don’t hesitate to ask me about anything from kayak variances, to fish species and different types of water. I’m here to help anglers, young and old, explore and grow in their fishing abilities and comfort levels.

Since 2017, I’ve dedicated myself to a full-time career as a professional kayak angler. Over the years, I’ve achieved numerous accolades in the Hobie Bass Open Series, earning the title of the most successful angler. I proudly secured two major national championships, namely the 2021 “The Ten” championship and the 2019 Hobie TOC Grand Champion title. I’ve also had the privilege of qualifying twice for the Hobie Worlds and currently maintain my qualified status.

One of my notable achievements was becoming the first kayak angler to grace the front cover of Bassmaster Magazine, all while navigating my trusty Hobie Pro Angler 14 360. Additionally, I’ve had the honor of participating in various podcasts, sharing my expertise. My passion for angling has taken me to the screens of the Outdoor Channel and the World Fishing Network as a guest angler, allowing me to reach a broader audience.

In the past year, I’ve taken on the role of a consistent video content contributor for The Bass University, and I’m proud to be an active affiliate as well.

For the past decade, I’ve immersed myself in the world of kayak tournament fishing, and over the last five years, I’ve become one of the most prolific participants in this realm. I embark on journeys across multiple regions, engaging in over 45 tournaments annually. Additionally, I’ve launched a podcast that has garnered significant popularity within the kayak fishing community, despite the relatively large number of episodes produced. My home base is in East Tennessee, where I’ve accumulated seven years of experience closely collaborating with numerous dealers across various regions. Throughout this journey, I’ve owned a total of six Hobie Pro Anglers and have extensively explored models like the Outback, Compass, and Lynx. Among my most notable achievements is qualifying for Hobie Worlds 9, held in Amal, Sweden.

As a U.S. Air Force veteran, I’ve always harbored ambitious dreams of competing against the best in the world of fishing. Despite my deep-rooted family connections, much of my life was spent simply enjoying fishing trips across the country. It wasn’t until 2019 that I received an invitation to my very first bass boat tournament, where I surprised everyone by finishing 5th and later clinching the club’s Angler of the Year title. During that same season, I managed to secure victory in only my second kayak competition at the state level.

Although I had some lingering doubts, 2020 marked a turning point when I successfully cashed a check in my inaugural National Trail competition. From that moment on, I never looked back. I went on to claim a national victory in the BASSMASTER BASS NATION Kayak Series and emerged as the champion of the 2022 BASS Nation Georgia State Championship, with other accolades quickly following suit. I am proud to exclusively participate in the Hobie Bass Open Series and BASSMASTER kayak circuits, piloting a Hobie PA14 360.

Now, I am based in Grovetown, Georgia, where I spend my time with my wife, daughters, and two beloved dogs. I also cherish the opportunity to travel with my wife and continue pursuing my passion for competitive fishing.

I’m Manon, better known as The FisherWoman, and I’m a 24-year-old residing in Brittany, France. My passion for kayak fishing has spanned five years, encompassing adventures in both saltwater and freshwater settings.

Currently, I navigate the waters with an Outback kayak, although I also own a Compass. Thanks to my association with a Hobie dealer, Propulsion Sailing, I have the privilege of experiencing the entire range of Hobie kayaks.

In my journey, I had the opportunity to compete on a global stage, representing Hobie. In 2022, I participated in the 9th Hobie Fishing World Championships in Sweden and achieved a notable 3rd place finish in the European Fishing Championship held in Italy.
