I’m a lifelong fisherman and an environmental engineer who discovered a deep affection for Hobie kayaks in 2017, a departure from my paddle kayak roots that I’d embraced since I was around 12 years old. The rising popularity of pedal kayaks caught my attention, and during a Hobie dealer’s demo day, I took a leap of faith that I’ve never regretted.
I call Niantic, a quaint coastal town in Connecticut, my home, where I divide my time between freshwater and saltwater fishing.
Over the past couple of years, one of my most significant fishing-related passions has been collaborating with our local Fisheries department. Together, we work towards culling invasive carp species from our major lakes and rivers. This endeavor allows me to harmonize my interests in environmentalism, civic service, and Hobie kayak fishing, creating a meaningful synergy in my pursuits.
