Clarksville Tennessee

Shortly after I purchased my first kayak, I decided to participate in a local kayak fishing tournament. Following that experience, I upgraded to a Hobie Pro Angler 12, and my life has never been the same since. I now dedicate a significant portion of my time to fishing after retiring last year, which has provided me with more free time. Furthermore, I’m passionately committed to introducing as many people as possible, including my grandkids, to the joys of being out on the water.

I live an hour away from Nashville, and I must say that the kayak fishing opportunities in this area are nothing short of incredible. There is an abundance of water within a two-hour radius, and even more within a three-hour drive, offering some of the finest fishing experiences in the United States.

Tennessee boasts a network of ten local groups scattered throughout the state, all falling under the umbrella of KAST (Kayak Angler Society of Tennessee), which is an exceptional grassroots organization. KAST provides countless anglers, regardless of their skill level, with the opportunity to test their abilities against others in a supportive community.
