As a native Texan with no real fishing experience, other than off the jetties, I started saltwater kayak fishing in 2016 out of a 10’ paddle kayak from Academy but did not truly get into the sport until 2017 when I received my first Hobie Compass as a birthday gift from my husband.
Since then, I have continuously improved my skills, have consistently competed in tournaments, and have moved up in the standings each time. I won the Women’s division of the 2020 Fin Addict Angler Foundation Coastal Bend Tournament, 4th in 2021 and 1st in 2023 at the Couples Yak Fishing Texas Ladies’ Tournament, 105th out of 300 anglers at Ride the Bull 2022, and 28th out of 400 anglers at Ride the Bull 2023 in Grand Isle, Louisiana.
As a member of the Hobie Fishing Team, Fin Factory Fishing Team, and Women’s Fishing Federation, my goal is to continue to promote the sport to women, inspire them to get outdoors and fish, and compete at all levels against all anglers!
