My first kayak was a Hobie Adventure Island, which I originally purchased (2007) to sail in. In 2008 I observed people fishing from a kayak and thought I would give it a try. At 48, fishing was not a hobby I had been interested in prior to that, though I quickly became obsessed. Going into my 17th year fishing from a kayak, I have been a tournament director, multi species angler, blogger, tournament angler, and part of the Hobie Fishing Team for over 10 years. My adventures that I have experienced from the sport of kayak fishing has taken me to all of the Great Lakes, Panama, Australia, Sweden, and some of the top Bass lakes in North America.
