I was introduced to fishing by my father at the age of 4 on the banks of Hat Creek in Northern California where I surprised everyone by landing a sizeable rainbow trout. Some 54 years later, I still find the same joy and excitement from every fish I catch. Over the last 30 years, I have primarily focused on bass fishing, chasing largemouth and smallmouth bass all over California and competing in several bass tournaments. My passion for the last 15 years has been kayak fishing and I am going on my 14th year as a member of the Hobie Fishing Team. I recently moved into saltwater fishing from my kayak, chasing ling cod, halibut, salmon and rockfish but most of my fishing days are spent in pursuit of my old adversary, the bass. As an avid bass angler and guide, I find the greatest joy in not only my own catches but inviting others to share in the excitement by passing on my knowledge.
