I am a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and Law Enforcement Officer with 25 years of experience. I spent my early years growing up in the Northeast, in a bustling urban environment where fishing wasn’t really an option for me. However, when I turned fifteen, my family relocated to Northeast Florida, and that’s where I had my first taste of fishing, the beach, and where my passion ignited.
Like many newcomers, I started my angling journey by casting lines from docks, piers, and the shoreline, and I eagerly hopped onto anyone’s boat who’d invite me. It wasn’t long before I realized that fishing was more than just a hobby—it was my calling. Friends and fishing guides often jest after spending hours on the water with me, claiming that I have a “serious problem.” I’d also find myself in situations where my buddies wanted to take a break for lunch, but I’d insist, “Guys, we can eat later; we’re out here to fish!”
