Fishing has been a passion of mine from a young age. Growing up in South Alabama, I was surrounded by rivers, lakes, ponds, and the Gulf Coast, which meant I was always on the lookout for the next big catch, whether in fresh or saltwater.
In 2005, I moved to Sarasota, Florida, and soon after got my first kayak. I quickly developed a deep love for kayak fishing. There’s something uniquely special about the close connection with nature that kayaking provides. This area offers a wealth of bucket-list species to target throughout the year, including tarpon, triple tail, kingfish, and impressive snook and redfish.
Kayak fishing has evolved from a hobby into a true passion for me. With the unwavering support of my wife, I’ve embarked on my first season of the Florida Redfish Series, and I absolutely enjoy using my Hobie PA14 for tournament fishing. Having tried various kayaks, it’s clear why Hobie is considered top-notch.
As a new father, I aim to show my daughter the importance of pursuing one’s dreams. Finding something you love and giving it your all is key. This is my dream, and I’m determined to catch it.
