Raised in Des Moines, Iowa till my late teens. I knew nothing of kayak fishing, but I did know the outdoors is where I belong. Moved out west in my late teens and began to get familiar with my outdoor surroundings. Fast forward to present day, I’m in love with kayak fishing. Especially when it’s out of a Hobie. I’ve been very fortunate and blessed to fish with an outstanding community of kayak anglers. Being able to fish the fresh and salty is a blessing. My profile pic is of a simple Halibut out of Tomales Bay. But that pic and that day is very special to me. It was the first day back on the water and first fish I caught after a physical setback that took me off the water for several months.
