Let me start by saying I’ve been in this sport for nearly ten years, and I’ve absolutely fallen in love with kayak fishing, especially using Hobie as my primary competitive kayak. Over the years, I’ve competed at a high level, winning multiple Angler of the Year awards, securing several top ten finishes nationally, and making two appearances in the flagship event, the Hobie Tournament of Champions (TOC), where I finished 7th at Lake Ouachita and 19th at Lake Eufaula.
As an ambassador for the sport, I’ve conducted countless seminars, most recently hosting one at the East Tennessee Fishing Show, arguably the biggest fishing show in the Southeast, where we showcased my rigged-out Hobie Pro Angler 14. I am passionate about teaching anglers the right way to approach the sport, whether they are recreational anglers or high-level tournament competitors.
When I’m not competing, you can find me on the local rivers here in East Tennessee, chasing smallmouth for fun. I fish the Hobie Bass Open Series, Bassmaster, TNKATT, and Tennessee BASS Nation, covering grassroots, regional, and national trails. Get out there and fish!
