Born and raised in southeast Louisiana, I’ve been fishing since I was old enough to hold a rod. Getting my first Hobie kayak opened up a world of fishing adventures I never imagined. Over the past 15 years as part of the Hobie Fishing Team, I’ve been lucky enough to fish all over the U.S. and beyond—from Alaska and the Bahamas to Mexico and Panama, each trip creating unforgettable memories.
While I primarily fish saltwater, always chasing big fish from my Hobie, some freshwater trips have been just as exciting—especially the day I landed my first (and only!) double-digit largemouth bass. Back home, speckled trout and redfish are my go-to targets, but my true passion is the thrill of chasing tarpon.
One of the best parts of kayak fishing is the tight-knit community, and there’s no bond stronger than among Hobie owners. I also love sharing my passion, promoting the sport, and showcasing the unique advantages of fishing from a Hobie kayak—no matter the model, it’s a game-changer on the water!
