Born and raised in southeast Louisiana, I have been fishing since I was old enough to hold a rod. My first Hobie kayak opened doors to fishing adventures I never dreamed possible. In my 15 years on the Hobie Fishing Team, I’ve had the fortune to fish many areas across the U.S. and beyond. Alaska, the Bahamas, Mexico and Panama have all provided memories of a lifetime chasing fish on a Hobie kayak. Primarily a salt-water angler, I really enjoy chasing big fish in my Hobie. However, several freshwater trips have also proved equally exciting, especially landing my first and only double-digit largemouth bass. While speckled trout and redfish are my home area staple, chasing tarpon is my favorite. The kayaking community has a special bond and none stronger than amongst fellow Hobie owners. There is also a high level of enjoyment getting to promote kayak fishing and the unique benefits of doing so on one of the various Hobie kayak models.
